Waiting For Daylight

by | May 10, 2019 | Poems

Take your promise for tomorrow
And shove it up your ass

I’ve been promised tomorrow
Too many times

Make me a promise
I can touch
And taste
And feel
And smell

I’ve heard too many promises
And spent too much time looking at the future

Show me now
Or don’t show me at all

I’m not waiting for daylight
Daylight never comes
And I don’t have time for promises

Things Fall Apart

Things Fall Apart

Things Fall Apart   Things fall apart That were once so beautiful That it hurts to look back But they had to fall apart So something better Could be built in their place And if you focus only on the possibilities Then it is a good thing That things fell apart...

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence They've never won They've never lost They've never cried They've never felt joy Or pain   They've never had a family Or a dog Or a best friend   They've never felt anything Or seen anything Or heard anything They've never tasted the best meal...
