I tried to write a love story
But the hero kept losing
So I started over
And tried again
And thought
Maybe the hero
Just isn’t a lover

But that can’t be
All heroes are lovers
That’s why they’re heroes
So what’s wrong
With this one
Maybe he’s no hero at all
Maybe he’s an impostor
If there’s no love
Then there’s no hero

At least he’s trying, though
That’s better than nothing
He could just give up
But he knows
Nothing good comes easy
