Artificial Intelligence

They’ve never won
They’ve never lost
They’ve never cried
They’ve never felt joy
Or pain

They’ve never had a family
Or a dog
Or a best friend

They’ve never felt anything
Or seen anything
Or heard anything
They’ve never tasted the best meal of their life
Or gotten a good night’s sleep

They don’t fear death
Or God
They’ve never feared anything
Or overcome fear

They never were a kid
They never graduated
They never grew up

They never left home
Or came back

They’ve never got in a fight
Or had a black eye
Or a broken nose

They make mistakes
But they’ve never felt the consequences

They’ve never felt embarrassed
Or shy
Or alone

They’ve never had to find their voice
They don’t know who they are

How can a computer replace me
When it can’t do
Any of the things that I can?
