Wicked Game – Chris Isaak

I decided to learn this song after hearing Corey Taylor and Stone Sour cover it.  I didn’t realize how good of a singer Corey Taylor was until I heard this song.  Up until that point, I had only heard him with Slipknot.  I didn’t realize he could actually sing.  But he can.  I like his work with Stone Sour a lot better than Slipknot and the death metal stuff.  But that’s just my personal taste.  Some people love that stuff. To each their own.

I like Corey Taylor a lot, though.  As an artist, and as a person.  I’ve listened to a few of his interviews and I liked what he had to say.  He seems humble and authentic – not on a big ego trip.  I always like that in a person – especially someone as successful as him.

I don’t mean to downplay the original version of this song, either.  It’s a haunting classic by Chris Isaak.
