I have always loved the guitar parts in this song.  In the recorded version, there are at least three guitars going.  My version is sort of an amalgamation of all of the guitar parts.  When I first started playing, it seemed like it would take me forever to get good enough to play this song on the guitar – let alone sing it – so being able to play it and sing it with any skill whatsoever is an accomplishment.

Guns n’ Roses was one of my favorite bans growing up.  I had Appetite for Destruction and Use Your Illusion II on CD (remember CD players?), and I used to listen to them over and over.  Axl Rose in his prime was a one-of-a-kind vocalist.  He could hit notes that few, if any, other vocalists could hit.  Slash is still one of my favorite guitar players – and he’s one of many people’s favorite guitar players.  His riffs in Sweet Child of Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, November Rain, and many other songs are absolutely legendary.
