Mr. Jones – Counting Crows

This is one of my favorite songs to play and sing.  It’s only a few chords, but it’s a lot of fun to strum and rock out to.  There are a lot of lyrics, and it took me a while to memorize all of them, but I’m glad I did.  The juice was worth the squeeze because it sure is a fun song.  It’s always a crowd favorite when you play it in front of people.

There are some lines in this song that really resonate:

“We all want to be big stars, but we got different reasons for that.”

”We all want to be big stars, but we don’t know why and we don’t know how.”

”When everybody loves you, you can never be lonely.”

”When everybody loves me, I’ll be just about as happy as I can be.”

It’s a fun song, but it also tells a deeper story about modern humanity.
