A Broken Picture

A Broken Picture

As I packed my things to leave

A picture of us stuck on the wall

It wouldn’t come off

So I pulled harder

And the glass broke

Leaving a shattered image

Of a happy couple

Love doesn’t live here anymore

It moved away

The glass was broken

But the picture was still intact

A perfect image

Of a happy couple

That only exists as a memory
